We can’t say for sure if “Vintage” is a trend or a recurring phenomenon that happens once a style has been gone for a long enough while. The word itself has its roots in Latin, of course, the original word being “vindemia”, which loosely translates into “to take grapes”. Furthermore, to give you a short linguistics lesson, it is an Anglo-Norman alteration of the French world “vendange”, which neatly brings us to the topic of today’s article.

Without fantasy, we would not have Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Discworld, or just about anything with dragons, maidens, knights and elves. Another thing that we would not have, are Klaus Pillon’s amazing fantasy illustrations, which I am about to show you. But first, let’s get to know him just a little bit better, shall we?

I for one think it’s a marvelous funny idea, and I’m glad that someone brought it to existence. It has been ten years since the show ended, and 20 since it started, and TBS celebrated F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ 20th anniversary back in September with a marathon. To promote this, they commissioned artist and graphic designer Allison Hoover to do a series of really cool posters, which we will be showing you shortly.
